Welcome to Wear Point Wind Farm

In the battle against climate change, the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) has set formal targets for renewable energy in Wales. By 2010, the target is 800 megawatts (MW) of electricity from onshore wind energy projects. As part of this plan, Infinergy has investigated land on the northern edge of the Milford Haven waterway in Pembrokeshire near Waterston as a possible wind farm site.

On 25 May 2010 Pembrokeshire County Council granted planning permission for the project, following their Planning Officer's recommendation for approval. The aim is to have the wind farm operational in 2012.

After two years of investigating the site, Infinergy's confidence that it could adequately host a small scale wind farm was seconded by Pembrokeshire County Council.
